VOLUNTEERS
Living Tree will have an outreach stall at the Bridport Community Fair on Saturday 2 February from 9 am – 2pm in the Town Hall. We will be holding outreach stands at many community events throughout the coming year and we shall be needing volunteers to help at these events. The events give us the opportunity to promote the LT and reach out to local people affected by cancer, a chance to network with other organisations within the town and to enjoy a few hours meeting new people with fellow LT members. If anyone is interested in helping at these events please contact 07341 916976 or thelivingtreedorset@gmail.com.
RECYCLE YOUR BRAS
If anybody has any new (or good as new) mastectomy bras, or ordinary bras that they do not need, Rose Thorpe will be collecting bras and sending them to two charities which help women in South East Europe and Nigeria who otherwise would not have access to post–mastectomy wear. The ordinary bras will be sent to another organisation called Smalls For All, that sends bras and pants to help women in African countries who do not have access to what for them can be luxuries. Rose will be collecting bras on Fridays at Living Tree meetings or Mondays at 1.00pm Stepping Out.
TOMBOLA/RAFFLE Roz Copson will be holding a bottle tom-bola at the Ropemakers, (West St) on Sunday 7 April from 5:30pm. Proceeds to the Living Tree and Stepping Out. She is looking for donations of anything in a bottle – it could be an expensive bottle of something such as wine or perfume to the very cheap and ordinary such as ketchup! She would also appreciate help selling the raffle tickets. Please give any donations to Roz and let her know if you are able to help with the raffle tickets. Roz is also looking for bric-a-brac items to sell on her stall in Buckydoo Square on Saturday 3 August (proceeds to LT and SO). She would also like some volunteers to help on the stall. Please contact Roz on 01308 422650.
